On Sunday, 4 January 2015, in the evening at 19:10, in Varėnos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 68.60), a Citroen Berlingo ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Citroen (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
