On Friday, 9 January 2015, in the morning at 8:30, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 58.11), a traffic accident occurred. The accident involved a vehicle and a Peugeot 307. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of a vehicle (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
