On Tuesday, 13 January 2015, in the afternoon at 13:04, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Gargždai–Kretinga national road (kilometre 20.41), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Koegel SN 24 P, a Renault Magnum 390 and a Ford Focus. One person died — the 82-year-old driver of the Ford (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Koegel (22 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
