On Friday, 16 January 2015, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on J. Basanavičiaus al., at the junction with Savanorių pr., a Chrysler Voyager hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Chrysler (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
