On Monday, 22 December 2014, in the evening at 19:20, in Utenos district municipality, on Užpalių street near No. 74, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz E250 and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
