On Wednesday, 21 January 2015, in the morning at 8:39, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 25.11), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis and a Volkswagen Sharan. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Toyota (35 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
