On Wednesday, 21 January 2015, at night at 3:30, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Druskininkai–Viečiūnai–Grūtas regional road (kilometre 5.34), a Renault Megane rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
