On Friday, 23 January 2015, in the morning at 9:43, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 53.48), at a gas station, a Renault Magnum 440.18 registered in Poland ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Renault (a citizen of Poland) (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
