On Friday, 30 January 2015, at night at around 23:00, in Kaunas, on Alšėnų street near No. 20, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault Laguna and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the Renault (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
