Unlicensed Opel Omega driver hits a parked BMW and flees on Panevėžio g., Kupiškis
On Thursday, 5 March 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on Panevėžio street near No. 5, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Omega and a BMW 520D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
