On Sunday, 15 March 2015, at night at 0:05, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 32, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A8 and a BMW 5er Reihe. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
