On Wednesday, 18 March 2015, at night at 1:30, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 23.30), a Volvo S40 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
