On Wednesday, 8 April 2015, in the evening at 19:15, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Kiaunoriai–Gedvilaičiai–Sidariškė regional road (kilometre 1.68), a Peugeot 205 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.17‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
