On Friday, 10 April 2015, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Ignalinos district municipality, on the Vilnius-Švenčionys-Zarasai national road (kilometre 99), an Audi 80 Avant rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Audi (7 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.09‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
