On Monday, 20 April 2015, at night at around 23:00, in Jurbarko district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 57.85), an Opel Vectra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
