On Friday, 24 April 2015, in the afternoon at 13:15, in Jurbarko district municipality, Šimkaičių village, on the Raseiniai–Šilinė national road (kilometre 22.18), a BMW 525 D ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the BMW (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
