On Sunday, 14 June 2015, in the evening at 17:45, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 29), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530, a Schmitz and a Volvo FH12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the BMW (a citizen of Denmark) (18 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
