On Wednesday, 24 June 2015, in the afternoon at 11:21, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Kvėdarna–Švėkšna–Saugos national road (kilometre 34.61), an Opel Corsa-C ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.52‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
