On Thursday, 2 July 2015, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Geniai–Panemuninkai regional road (kilometre 4), a Peugeot 207 registered in Poland rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Peugeot (2 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
