Opel Astra and Volvo crash at Žemaitės alley and Šventosios street, Kretinga
On Monday, 6 July 2015, in the evening at 20:02, in Kretingos district municipality, on Žemaitės alley, at the junction with Šventosios street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Volvo S60. Two people were injured — the 26-year-old driver of the Opel (treated as an outpatient) and a 25-year-old passenger of the Volvo (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Opel (8 years of driving experience), who failed to obey traffic-control signals. Both drivers were sober.
