On Monday, 20 July 2015, in the evening at 22:37, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 15.75), a Volkswagen Jetta rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.71‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
