On Thursday, 23 July 2015, in the afternoon at 12:30, in Kauno district municipality, Sitkūnų village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 114), a Citroen C3 rolled over. Two people were injured — a 33-year-old passenger of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient) and a 5-year-old passenger of the Citroen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Citroen (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
