On Sunday, 2 August 2015, in the afternoon at 14:30, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 5), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A4, a Toyota Verso, a Honda CR-V and a Hyundai Elantra registered in Belarus. Two people were injured — the 61-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 42-year-old passenger of the Hyundai (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Audi (8 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
