On Friday, 31 July 2015, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 219.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania R500 and a Temsa. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Scania (26 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
