On Saturday, 8 August 2015, in the afternoon at 11:32, in Biržų district municipality, Anglininkų village, on Šilo street, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 26-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.58‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
