On Saturday, 15 August 2015, in the afternoon at 11:33, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 14), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Piaggio Vespa 125 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Piaggio, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
