On Saturday, 15 August 2015, in the evening at 17:43, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 74.90), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a KIA Motors Ceed registered in Ukraine. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Opel (21 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (1.99‰ blood alcohol).
