On Sunday, 16 August 2015, at night at 3:25, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Žvyro street near No. 11, an Opel Omega ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Opel, who violated stopping or parking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
