On Tuesday, 18 August 2015, in the morning at around 10:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 26.85), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota Avensis, a Volkswagen Transporter and a Skoda Fabia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Toyota (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
