On Tuesday, 18 August 2015, in the afternoon at 12:45, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 126.96), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Nissan Almera, a Volvo FH12 and a Frejat CD1600. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Nissan (4 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings, failed to give way when crossing an intersection and failed to choose a safe speed.
