On Tuesday, 1 September 2015, in the morning at 5:30, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 77.32), a Volvo FH12 registered in Belarus hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Volvo (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
