On Wednesday, 2 September 2015, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Draugystės street, at the junction with Taikos pr., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz 230 and a Peugeot 306. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (35 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
