On Friday, 11 September 2015, in the afternoon at 13:20, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Kuršėnai–Gilvyčiai–Sauginiai regional road (kilometre 22.99), an Opel Tigra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
