On Monday, 14 September 2015, in the morning at 7:50, in Rietavo municipality, on Daržų street, at the junction with Plungės street, a Ford Focus hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 16-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Ford (2 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. She was drunk (0.75‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene.
