On Friday, 4 September 2015, in the afternoon at 16:49, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 35), an Audi Q5 registered in Ukraine hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the driver of the Audi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
