On Thursday, 17 September 2015, in the evening at 19:30, in Šakių district municipality, Lekėčių town, on Kauno street near No. 3, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene.
