On Friday, 18 September 2015, at night at around 1:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Šiauliai main road (kilometre 72.65), an Audi A6 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Audi (9 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. She was drunk (2.87‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
