On Friday, 18 September 2015, at night at around 23:00, in Kauno district municipality, Domeikavos village, on Obelų street near No. 11, a BMW 525 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
