On Thursday, 24 September 2015, at night at 2:46, in Ukmergės district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 64), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Seat Ibiza and a Fiat Ducato. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Seat (less than a year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
