On Thursday, 24 September 2015, at night at around 23:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Sereikių village, on Gaidamavičiaus street near No. 27, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Renault Megane ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Renault, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.22‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
