On Sunday, 27 September 2015, in the evening at 17:20, in Šiauliai, on Gegužių street, at the junction with Aido street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Volkswagen Polo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Opel (32 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
