On Saturday, 3 October 2015, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 2.48), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Audi (56 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober.
