On Friday, 2 October 2015, in the morning at 6:30, in Švenčionių district municipality, on Stoties street near No. 17, an Audi 100 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to comply with road signs or markings, exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs, committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.09‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
