On Thursday, 22 October 2015, in the evening at 19:29, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street near No. 227, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Colt and an Iveco AS440S43. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.40‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
