On Friday, 30 October 2015, in the evening at 19:15, in Kaunas, on A. Baranausko street near No. 16, a BMW 318 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 38-year-old pedestrian, who committed other traffic rule violations, was crossing the carriageway where prohibited, was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest) and was walking on the carriageway where prohibited. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
