On Wednesday, 4 November 2015, at night at 0:53, in Pakruojo district municipality, Megučionių village, on the Kalpokai–Megučioniai–Girbutkiai regional road (kilometre 3), a Mitsubishi Colt ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.49‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
