On Tuesday, 17 November 2015, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Druskininkų municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 133), a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a DAF FT XF105.410 registered in Belarus and a Scania R420 registered in Russia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the DAF (4 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
