On Sunday, 22 November 2015, at night at 23:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 129.70), a BMW 323 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
