On Monday, 23 November 2015, at night at around 2:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, on Daugėlių street near No. 76, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Alfa Romeo 156 and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
