Drunk, unlicensed Jaguar XJR driver runs off the road on Žalgirio g., Šilutė
On Sunday, 13 December 2015, in the evening at around 17:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Žalgirio street, a Jaguar XJR registered in Great Britain ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Jaguar, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.97‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
